Simple Book Tracker
A downloadable tool for Android

I have created my own minimalistic app to help me track what books I have read and what I want to read in the future. I find it especially handy at the library.
I did this as the apps you can find on the play store are all either designed to encourage me to read or just overly bloated with stuff I'll never use. So I took this on as a little vacation project and posted the end result here if someone is interested.
The stuff you care about:
- It's completely free (and open source)
- No ads in any shape or form
- Very clean and simple
- Requires no internet
- I've tried to subtly make the app a bit more usable for older people. (it's been tested with this in mind)
In terms of what it does:
- List of all the books you have read already and those you still want to read
- Filtering and sorting functionality
- Tags to differentiate between fiction and non-fiction, owned and not owned books, as well as youth and adult books. (Tip: The tags can be toggled off if you don't want them)
- A heap of tiny things you won't notice, that I spent hours thinking about just to make sure you won't notice.
Note, I did use AI for some of the code, but you can blame me for any design, UI or flow choices. Feel free to give some constructive criticism.
Last update: (V2 now)
- Optimized layout for phones using very large system fonts
- Added an edit function
- Added a way to toggle tags on or off
- Put the book entry system all on a single screen instead of two separate ones
- Major UI polish
- Minor bug fixes
